The final team reveal and the best differentials.
The season is fast approaching; 6 million managers are already in the game and the pre-season is done. Now it’s time to select our final team, and as far as I am concerned, I think I am settled, so let’s start with my team reveal.
Sanchez in goal seems to be a no-brainer for me. A 4.5m keeper playing for Chelsea with that fixture run is worth it. The only valid reason that might stop you from going for him might be the arrival of other keepers, but based on the pre-season line-ups and Maresca favouring Sanchez is enough to keep him. If Maresca suggests otherwise in the pre-match press conference, then there’s always room to change him at the last minute.
In defence, Pedro Porro is another player who we can’t ignore. I was going for Van de Ven but then opted to go for Pedro and drop Trent from my team, which makes me scared, but I have to make sacrifices somewhere as I have the 3mium in my team with Haaland, Salah, and Son. The other defenders are Burn( I am sure he is going to start in the first XI ) and a surprising punt, Zinchenko, who is the cheapest route to Arsenal’s defence. I don’t think Calafiori starts from the first week, and I am willing to take the risk, I will transfer him out and get Robinson in the coming weeks anyway.
Other than Salah and Son, I have Murphy and Kulusevski, the in-form players of the pre-season. I was confused between Jota and Kulu and I had to choose only one and went for the Spurs player. Will Jota punish me heavily for ignoring him?! I pray not. The last mid I chose is Emile Smith Rowe of Fulham. Nailed on to start, and if he starts, then he will be providing returns. I think he is even better than Muniz.
In the forward line, it’s too easy to guess the players. Isac partnering up front with Haaland, I don’t think an explanation is necessary as, for me, these two are no-brainers.
On the bench, I have Faes and Bednarek (the cheapest players who are nailed on to start in the first XI of their respective teams). The other player is Jebbison(4.5m forward). I am not sure if he is going to start or not, but I am not concerned with him starting or not. That’s my final team with 0.5m in the bank which will help me to go for Palmer in place of Son if the situation demands, without getting rid of Salah and Haaland. I don’t think it’s going to change much, barring any injury news before the deadline.
Differentials
Murphy: with just 1.4% ownership until now and costing you just 5.5m, he is going to be a game-changer and can help you get an early ranking lead in the season. He is nailed to start as I don’t see Harvey Barnes starting. Also, the possible departure of Almiron boosts his chances of starting the season, and once he gets going, he will not be dropped, at least before the first international break.
Kulusevski: Owned by just 2.6%, he started all the pre-season games as the false 9 and has been fantastic so far. With the arrival of Solanke, the chance of Kulusevski’s position change is there, but in terms of Ange Postecoglu talking about him, it doesn’t seem like he is going to be dropped from the team even if Solanke plays. He is also the cheapest option, along with Brennan Johnson, in the Spurs attack(6.5m).
Zinchenko: 2.2% ownership as of now and the cheapest way in the Arsenal defence. The best thing about him is also the scary part as he mostly gets subbed out early in the match(in and around the 60 minutes), but if you are planning to get an Arsenal defence which you will transfer out anyway in the next week, then I think he is the one to go for.
