Double Gameweeks are the most exciting part of FPL. It’s an opportunity to bring more and more players with double fixtures. Double Gameweeks, if guided properly can easily give you an edge over mini-league rivals and gain quick ranks. In this article, we bring you 3 differential players that can help you boost your ranks.
Tariq Lamptey (Brighton – Defender – £4.5m) vs CRY (H) and CHE (H)
Since his comeback from a long injury, Lamptey has been terrific for Brighton. He is playing almost as a winger and creating tons of chances. In GW13, he created the most chances among all defenders (5), and since then has been vital to every Brighton attack. Brighton have two home fixtures in DGW 22 and usually tend to do better at home.
In 12 appearances (7 starts) this season, Lamptey has 3 clean sheets and created 10 chances and 1 big chance for his team. He also has 23 penalty area touches and 7 shots inside the box. Lamptey certainly can haul big in any match. The prospect of attacking returns along with a clean sheet in both fixtures makes him an explosive option for our FPL teams. His current ownership is 2.6%.
Lucas Moura (Spurs – Midfielder – £6.5m) vs ARS (H) and LEI (A)
Spurs have been in quite good form since Conte’s arrival scoring 14 goals and conceding just 4 goals. Lucas Moura has started 6 games in the last 8 matches and has 2 goals and 3 assists to his name. He put up an outstanding performance against Palace scoring a goal and 2 assists in GW19. With Son ruled out, there is a high chance that he plays alongside Kane which increases his FPL potential.
In the last 8 matches, he has 14 goal attempts, 8 shots inside the box, 2 big chances, and 22 penalty area touches. He also created 12 chances and 5 big chances for his team during this run. He faces Arsenal and a defensively poor Leicester side who have conceded 10 goals and kept 2 clean sheets in their last 5 matches. Lucas Moura is a good differential pick in the absence of Son, and we back him to get a haul in DGW22. Current ownership is 5.6%.
Harvey Barnes (Leicester – Midfielder – £6.5m) vs BUR (A) and TOT (H)
Leicester have been putting in some good offensive performances in the past few weeks. They have scored 8 goals in the last 3 matches, including 3 goals against Manchester City in GW19. In DGW 22, Leicester plays Burnley who have conceded 6 goals in the last 2 matches and hosts Spurs who will be quite difficult to break down.
Harvey Barnes had a good game for Leicester in the FA Cup against Watford, scoring a goal in the game. With Vardy injured, there is a good chance he starts both games and should be considered as a good differential option. He also has the best shots in the box / 90 amongst all Leicester midfielders this season. Current ownership is 2.2%.
*Ownership percentage is as of January 13, 2022, at the time of writing the article.
