The final Gameweek of 2021/22 is upon us and it could just be the most important one for FPL this season. We are in for a thriller as the title, top 4, top 6 and even relegation are to be decided on the final day. It’s the final opportunity to identify a differential for a final push up the rankings. In this article, we bring you 3 differential players that can help you gain an advantage over your rivals.
Ryan Sessegnon (Tottenham – Defender – £4.3m) vs NOR (A)
Ryan Sessegnon has been one the best players for Tottenham in the last few weeks. He has started the last five matches in a row, a run that has seen him produce 1 assist, 3 clean sheets, and 3 bonus points averaging 5.4 points per match.
In the last 4 matches, Sessegnon ranks 1st for Big Chances (5) and Penalty area touches (20) among all defenders. Sessegnon is thriving under Conte’s 3-4-2-1 system and offers a great value at his price. The prospect of a clean sheet against Norwich is also quite high. Current ownership is 1.0%.
Yoane Wissa (Brentford – Midfielder – £5.7m) vs LEE (H)
Yoane Wissa has been his side’s top performer in recent weeks. He is Brentford’s second-top scorer in the league this season behind Ivan Toney. He has seven goals, which is a good return considering he has only started 11 matches. He has also scored 2 goals in his last 2 matches against Southampton and Everton.
Brentford’s GW38 opponents Leeds are in a relegation battle and might go all out for the win. Their defense has been terrible this season and with Brentford’s current goal-scoring form, Wissa could be a great punt. Current ownership is 0.2%.
Callum Wilson (Newcastle – Forward – £7.1m) vs BUR (A)
Callum Wilson was exceptional on his return to action in GW37 after four months out. He easily could have scored a brace as he dominated the Gunners’ defense. Wilson has missed a large part of the season, but despite his absence, he is still Newcastle’s top goals scorer with 6 goals.
Their opponents, Burnley are in a relegation battle and have to get a result out of this match. They also have conceded a lot of chances from their center, which Wilson can benefit from positionally. Newcastle have been in great form since the turn of the year and we back Wilson to do well as he did in the reverse fixture. Current ownership is 1.2%
*Ownership percentage is as of May 20, 2022, at the time of writing the article.
