The 2024-25 Premier League season has been full of surprise packages, and that is reflected in teams such as Nottingham Forest, Brighton, and Bournemouth being in the mix for a European place at this last stage of the campaign.
Due to the inconsistent natures of teams such as Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham, there have been more areas of value than ever before in fantasy football, with many players being forced to think on their feet in 2024-25, rather than just captaining Erling Haaland every week.
But, who have been some of the best fantasy Premier League bargains in the 2024-25 season?
Matz Sels
Unsurprisingly, Nottingham Forest players rank among the top bargains in fantasy Premier League this season. It would be hard to start anywhere other than one of the best performing goalkeepers in the game this season, with Matz Sels picking up a staggering 125 points.
The Forest stopper has been selected by 18.3% of players in the fantasy leagues this season, and he now holds a value of £5.1 million. However, players that picked up on the stopper earlier this season would have bagged value, as Sels was available for as little as £4.5 million before a ball was kicked.
So far this season, he has earned 12 clean sheets and 20 save points. He is the top goalkeeper in the game, ranking just above Arsenal’s David Raya. He might be one of the main reasons why Forrest now appears in the EPL winner odds by YouBet.
Ola Aina
Full-backs are typically the way to go when including defenders in your fantasy team, but stars such as Trent Alexander-Arnold and Josko Gvardiol typically demand huge fees.
Therefore, players have been able to pick up value in the form of Forest full-back Ola Aina. Still, the defender could be a value selection at £5.4 million, and he has picked up a staggering 122 points so far this season. No wonder Forest is trying to pin him to a new contract.
His performances on the field have seen him become the second-most picked defender in the game this season, and he is found in a staggering 29% of squads. In fact, only Trent Alexander-Arnold ranks higher in terms of points, and the Liverpool man costs just under £2 million more.
Nikola Milenkovic
Forest’s domination on this list continues with Nikola Milenkovic. The defender is the highest scoring centre-back in the game this season, and is still worth a very low price of £4.9 million.
Players that have had the defender since the opening day of the campaign have been rewarded for their selection after picking up an average of 24.5 points per million on the defender.
Milenkovic has earned 120 points so far this season and has been a common fixture in attacking set pieces for the Tricky Trees.
So far this season, he has headed 18 shots, which is three times as many as any defender in the Premier League. Despite his high scoring ability, he is still only found in 10% of squads in the game.
Bryan Mbeumo
Bryan Mbeumo has been a standout selection for players throughout the season, with a staggering 8.48 million transfers in throughout 2024-25.
The Brentford star started the season in excellent form, and despite costing £2 million less than Cole Palmer, he has scored just two points fewer. Mbeumo has already exceeded his best scoring season in the game, reaching 179 points already this term to surpass his tally of 150 points in 2022-23.
Following an excellent season, the forward is the third-most selected midfielder in fantasy this season, with only Mohamed Salah and Palmer being found in more teams.
Justin Kluivert
Bournemouth have also been one of the stories of the season in the Premier League this season, meaning it is no surprise that Justin Kluivert ranks among the biggest bargains of the game.
The Dutchman is found in 35.5% of squads in the game, and he has already scored a staggering 147 points. He started the season at a much lower price, but it could still be argued that he could provide value in the game at £6.3 million at this stage of the campaign.
He is available at a fraction of the price when compared to the other top eight players in terms of the top points scorers in the midfield position, and he could be crucial in Bournemouth’s charge to achieve a first-ever European finish.
Chris Wood
Chris Wood has been one of the standout players in the Premier League this season, and no striker has scored more points than the Nottingham Forest man.
Wood has scored an incredible tally of 174 points in 2024-25, which has seen his market value jump by £1.3 million to £7.3 throughout the campaign.
The Forest striker has scored 18 goals in the Premier League this season, and he has added three assists for good measure. To date, he has scored three more points than Haaland, despite being worth nearly £7 million less.
